how VEYA uses cookies and similar technologies

Current Website Use
The current public VEYA website uses essential cookies, local storage and session storage only where necessary for core website functionality, security, session continuity or user-requested functionality.
VEYA uses essential browser storage where necessary for: authentication and sign-in; authenticated business dashboard session continuity; secure anonymous ticket checkout; ticket order and payment return state; secure order-status access; user-requested transaction continuity; and essential application configuration.
Browser storage may include authentication tokens, transaction references, order identifiers, secure order-access credentials and a pseudonymous anonymous checkout identifier. Authentication tokens are associated with your account and may identify you as a logged-in user. VEYA does not publish or expose actual token values.
The anonymous checkout identifier is used to support guest ticket checkout and transaction continuity. It is not used by VEYA for advertising or behavioural marketing.
VEYA does not currently deploy non-essential website analytics cookies, advertising cookies or marketing tracking pixels on the public website. VEYA does not currently deploy PostHog on the public website, Sentry on the public website, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, advertising pixels, or non-essential analytics or marketing SDKs.
Third-Party Services
Third-party services opened or embedded as part of a user-requested transaction, such as a payment provider, may operate under their own privacy or cookie practices. Paystack may use its own technologies when a user is redirected to Paystack for a payment transaction, and Paystack's own privacy and cookie practices apply to its services. VEYA does not control third-party cookies set on an independent third-party website.
Future Non-Essential Cookies or Tracking
If VEYA introduces non-essential analytics, advertising, marketing cookies or similar tracking technologies on the public website, VEYA will update its disclosures and implement an appropriate consent mechanism before activating those technologies where required by applicable law.
Where consent is required, users will be given a clear choice to accept or reject the relevant non-essential technologies.
Managing Browser Storage
You may manage browser storage through your browser controls. Where VEYA later introduces a consent preference interface, users will be able to change applicable choices through that interface.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
